Stephanie Torres | Updates from the Dance Floor

“The Waltz should be an Olympic sport,” said Star Dancer Stephanie Torres when we checked in with her this week.  “After this, I’m going to have thighs to rival [8-time speed skating medalist] Apolo Ohno!”

The staff (and our undercover reporters) at Fred Astaire Dance Studio praised Ms. Torres’ dancing ability.  They hinted that she may be the competitor to beat at the gala, just as Apolo Ohno was when he won TV’s Dancing with the Stars in 2007.

Ms. Torres heaped praise on her dance partner and instructor Alex as well, saying “working with Alex is truly a dream come true!”

The Fred Astaire Dance Studio spies are keeping quiet about what dance number Ms. Torres will be performing, so you’ll want to register for the Gala benefit today to see if she will dance a winning Paso Doble like Mr. Ohno or if one of our other dancers will waltz, tango or quick-step their way to the winning title in our Dancing with the Stars Portland gala.
