2014 Gala Celebrates Residents’ Success

March 20, 2014 · by Events Team · 2014 Gala, Featured

The 2014 Dancing with the Stars gala may have been our most dazzling and glamorous evening yet!  Still, the real celebration is something far more important than trophies, ball gowns and bow ties: the successes achieved by PCRI residents.  Like the success achieved by the Orr family whose three daughters have not just succeeded, but thrived in school because of the stability afforded by their family’s PCRI home. Courtney and Tiara are now college graduates, and Kyra is a stellar high school student on her way to graduation and beyond.  And parents Reyna and Terrance have achieved their own successes: Terrance achieved his degree a few years ago and Reyna is on her way to a new degree thanks in part to PCRI’s matched-savings IDA program.

With these benefit of stable, affordable housing, and the support of PCRI’s resident programs and staff, PCRI residents like the Orr family achieve extraordinary goals: breaking the cycle of poverty, improving their lives and the lives of their children.
